NRV (Non Return Valve)
A Non-Return Valve (NRV), also known as a Check Valve, is a type of fluid control valve designed to allow the flow of fluids (liquids or gases) in one direction only and to prevent backflow. The valve automatically opens when the flow is in the correct direction and closes when the flow reverses, thus ensuring that fluid does not flow in the opposite direction.
FEATURES:
-
Flow Direction Control: It allows fluid to pass in only one direction, automatically closing to prevent backflow when the fluid pressure decreases or reverses.
-
Automatic Operation: No external control or power is needed. The valve operates automatically based on the fluid's pressure.
-
Durability: Typically designed with durable materials (stainless steel, brass, etc.) to withstand high pressures and flow rates.
-
Simple Construction: NRVs have a relatively simple design, often consisting of a valve body, spring, disc or ball, and seat.
-
Versatility: Used in a variety of applications, including pumps, pipelines, heating systems, and many other industrial systems.
-
Pressure Management: Ensures that pressure fluctuations do not cause backflow that can damage equipment or contaminate the system.
